March 3:- One day Workshop on Search
& Rescue was conducted by the Airports Authority of India at State Guest
House Conference Hall Agatti on 2nd March 2012.Shri. D.Devaraj Regional
Executive Director, Airports Authority of India, Southern Region welcomed the
gathering briefing about the importance of the airport security, search and
rescue operations followed by the lighting the lamp by dignitaries. Dr. Syed Ismail Koya,
Director Port, shipping & Aviation was the
chief guest in the function. In his special address Dr. Syed Ismailkoya briefed
about the infrastructural facilities available under the Lakshadweep
Administration for the search & rescue operations. An over View of Search & Rescue Mission-
Agatti Island was presented by Shri. A.P.Gajbe, General Manager (Aero-SR) AAI,
Southern Region through power point presentation. Shri. Nageaswara Rao, DGM
(S&R), Sothern Region presented “An Insight into ARCC&COSPASS.
